| Summary: | La última exhortación apostólica del papa Francisco, Gaudete et exsultate, desarrolla –con estilo llano y directo– la noción de santidad como llamado personal a la configuración con Cristo, mediante la participación en sus actitudes profundas (las bienaventuranzas) y de la práctica del discernimiento espiritual. Sin embargo, otras secciones, de tono polémico, parecen dirigidas a los críticos de Amoris laetitia y a su interpretación de la doctrina de Veritatis splendor sobre los absolutos morales. El silencio sobre esta encíclica y sobre la centralidad del Decálogo indica un desplazamiento de énfasis destinado a dar mayor espacio al discernimiento espiritual. Es preciso integrar ambas perspectivas para que, en el camino hacia la santidad, la libertad del creyente no se vea privada de referencias claras. The last apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis, Gaudete et exsultate, develops—in a simple and direct style—the notion of sanctity as a personal calling to the configuration with Christ through the participation in his deepest attitudes (the beatitudes) and the practice of spiritual discernment. However, other sections written in a polemic tone are probably addressed against the critics of Amoris laetitia and their interpretation of the doctrine of Veritatis splendor on moral absolutes. The silence regarding this last document and the centrality of the Decalogue indicate a shift of emphasis intended to give more space for spiritual discernment. Both perspectives must be duly integrated so that, in the path to sanctity, the faithful’s freedom may not lack clear moral guidance. |
