| Summary: | O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a relação entre Evangelho e fé cristã na América Latina, analisando se tal incide, ou não, nas culturas e nas estruturas sociais dos povos desse continente. Identifica elementos que frustram a proposta do Evangelho, como expressões religiosas e culturais que propõem tanto uma imanência sem transcendência quanto uma transcendência sem imanência, o que descaracteriza a fé cristã. E aponta caminhos para uma reafirmação do Evangelho no cotidiano social, como a fé no Deus intra-mundo, a interação entre fé cristã e sociedade, a compreensão de salvação como plenificação do sentido da vida. Tais elementos são fundamentais para que a proposta do Evangelho não seja frustrada, mas acolhida e inserida nas vivências das pessoas e das comunidades cristãs. O método da pesquisa é a leitura qualitativa da bibliografia que relaciona Evangelho, fé cristã e sociedade. A conclusão é que urge uma reapresentação do Evangelho na América Latina, com efetiva inserção de seus valores nos espaços cotidianos de quem professa a fé cristã. Isso requer um repensamento do ser cristão e a reconfiguração da Igreja, com engajamento numa agenda social a curto e médio prazo. El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre la relación entre el Evangelio y la fe cristiana en América Latina, analizando si esta penetra o no en las culturas y estructuras sociales de los pueblos de ese continente. Identifica elementos que frustran la propuesta del Evangelio, como expresiones religiosas y culturales que proponen tanto una inmanencia sin trascendencia como una trascendencia sin inmanencia, lo que caracteriza erróneamente la fe cristiana. Y señala caminos para una reafirmación del Evangelio en la vida social cotidiana, como la fe en el Dios intramundano, la interacción entre la fe cristiana y la sociedad, la comprensión de la salvación como cumplimiento del sentido de la vida. Tales elementos son fundamentales para que la propuesta evangélica no sea frustrada, sino acogida e inserta en las experiencias de las personas y comunidades cristianas. El método de investigación es la lectura cualitativa de la bibliografía que relaciona el Evangelio, la fe cristiana y la sociedad. La conclusión es que urge una representación del Evangelio en América Latina, con la inserción efectiva de sus valores en los espacios cotidianos de quienes profesan la fe cristiana. Esto requiere un replanteamiento del ser cristiano y la reconfiguración de la iglesia, con compromiso en una agenda social de corto y mediano plazo. The objective of this article is to reflect on the relationship between the Gospel and Christian faith in Latin America, analyzing whether or not this affects the cultures and social structures of the people of that continent. It identifies elements that frustrate the proposal of the Gospel, such as religious and cultural expressions that propose both an immanence without transcendence and a transcendence without immanence, which mischaracterizes the Christian faith. And it points out ways for a reaffirmation of the Gospel in everyday social life, such as faith in the intra-world God, the interaction between Christian faith and society, the understanding of salvation as the fulfillment of the meaning of life. Such elements are fundamental so that the Gospel proposal is not frustrated, but welcomed and inserted into the experiences of people and Christian communities. The research method is the qualitative reading of the bibliography that relates the Gospel, Christian faith and society. The conclusion is that there is an urgent need for a re-presentation of the Gospel in Latin America, with the effective insertion of its values into the daily spaces of those who profess the Christian faith. This requires a rethinking of being a Christian and the reconfiguration of the church, with engagement in a short and medium term social agenda. |
