It emphasises that traditions are the construction of a continuity that goes beyond effective discontinuities, a second continuity linked to the motive of an identity that is also second. He proposes to read traditions as a way of taking charge of anthropological and social issues, a way of taking charge that differs from one time and tradition to another. He argues for an understanding of this situation at the heart of the social, based not on universalizable propositions, but on questions that cut across both traditions and the common good, so that productivity can be developed for each and every one of us. | ||
