Description
Summary:The pastor of Saint Dismas Church was preparing for the celebration of the marriage of two Catholic parishioners when he was stricken with a heart attack. While he was being wheeled to the ambulance, the pastor instructed his lay pastoral associate to call the neighboring parish and ask any available priest to come to “provide coverage for the wedding.” The pastoral associate did call the neighboring parish and located a priest who came to Saint Dismas and “officiated” at the marriage. Was the marriage validly celebrated?
