Description
Summary:Muslim Worship in Sweden – Some Examples The article contains an overview of different types of mosques in Sweden. The Islamic diversity in various congregations is focused on and a number of different mosques are described and highlighted. Examples include a traditional mosque dominated by Pakistani immigrants in Stockholm, a private Muslim home and the student mosque at Chalmers in Gothenburg. Even though the Islamic faith and Muslims have been the subject of considerable research over the years, few studies have examined the religious life of Muslims, Islamic liturgy and the art of preaching. The aim of this article is to encourage further research on those topics.
