| Summary: | Psalm 100: A poetically inferior and conflated text? Psalm 100 is analysed on the basis of an exegetical model used by a team of researchers at the University of Pretoria. It is evident that, in spite of the contrary being maintained at times, this Psalm is a poem of the highest literary quality in which the poet uses various poetic techniques to communicate his message. He creatively uses previously known m aterial to compose a new poem. Through the poem the ‘congregation’ is called upon to praise and serve Yahweh comprehensively, because he is Creator and has proved himself loving and faithful. |
