| Summary: | For over forty years, the antiphon Surgite sancti, which was sung during the church consecration liturgy in the Catalan-Narbonese rite, has been an essential touchstone for a knowledge of the origins of music notation in Catalonia. This article presents a study of this antiphon in relation to the samples which are known to us in other liturgical settings. The comparison between the various sources allows the differentiated singularity of the two groups of melodies to be established. L’antífona Surgite sancti, que es cantava durant la litúrgia de consagració d’esglésies en el ritus catalanonarbonès, ha esdevingut des de fa més de quaranta anys una pedra de toc essencial per al coneixement dels orígens de l’escriptura musical a Catalunya. En aquest article s’estudia la citada antífona en relació amb els exemplars que en coneixem en altres entorns litúrgics. La comparació entre les diferents fonts permet establir la singularitat diferenciada dels dos grups de melodies. |
