| Summary: | From the end of the 12th century, Vic Cathedral possessed a gift from King Alfons in the form of an ivory plaque representing the deesis made in Constantinople during that period. It came to decorate the covers of a textus argenteus that was used for solemnities in the cathedral until the 16th century, when this book was replaced by other codices. In this article, we attempt to discover how this piece of art came from Constantinople to Vic Cathedral and we try to explain its presence today in the Louvre Museum in Paris. La catedral de Vic, des de finals del segle XII, tenia per donació del rei Alfons una placa d’ivori representant la deisi elaborada a Constantinoble en aquest període. Aquesta va ser reutilitzada per decorar les tapes d’un textus argenteus per a usos de les solemnitats de la catedral fins al segle XV i, quan va ser substituït per altres còdexs. En aquest article intentem descobrir com aquesta peça d’art va venir de Constantinoble a la catedral de Vic i, també, explicar la seva presència actual al Museu del Louvre de París. |
