| Summary: | In this article we provide an historical-liturgical approach to the rite of incensation, based on Old Testament and New Testament texts and early Christian writers from Justin to Saint Ephraim of Syria. We analyse the Ordo romanus, incensation at the consecration of high altars and other ceremonies involving this rite. En aquest article fem una recerca historicolitúrgica de l’encensament basant-nos en textos veterotestamentaris i neotestamentaris i en els escrits dels primers escriptors cristians, des de Justí fins a sant Efraïm de Síria. Analitzem l’Ordo romanus, l’encensament en la consagració de l’altar i altres cerimònies litúrgiques que contenen aquest ritual. |
