Estos estatutos son el primer síntoma de las reuniones conciliares que se celebraban en Trento con el objetivo de reformar las costumbres de los miembros del clero secular y restituir credibilidad a una institución que ahora se encontraba amenazada por las convulsiones protestantes procedentes del centro de Europa. Sin embargo, la realidad catedralicia cotidiana visonense fue bastante distinta de aquella impuesta por los estatutos. Nos disponemos a hacer un repaso sobre las principales disposiciones estatutarias y verificar cómo el cabildo se adaptó a estas reglamentaciones In 1561, Bishop D.
