| Summary: | In so far as the changes that happened in recent decades have affected the totality of human life, the Church also, in its evangelizing action – and the presbyters within it – have been directly hit. The presbyters’ socio-cultural place has been displaced. They no longer find with the same ease the institutional support they had in previous times and must build, mainly through personal testimony, the conditions for recognition and acceptance. The Aparecida Conference has indicated some evangelizing priorities that support this testimony. Na medida em que as mudanças das últimas décadas afetaram a globalidade da vida humana, também a Igreja, em sua ação evangelizadora e, nela, os presbíteros, se veem atingidos muito diretamente. Os presbíteros têm seu lugar sociocultural deslocado. Já não encontram, com tanta facilidade, o respaldo institucional de épocas anteriores, necessitando construir, em boa parte, a partir do testemunho pessoal, as condições para o reconhecimento e a aceitação. A Conferência de Aparecida indicou algumas prioridades evangelizadoras que balizam este testemunho. |
