Description
Summary:The ambivalent and often trans*phobic positions in the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church lead to incomprehension and questions about how to deal with these statements among people working in pastoral fields, especially given that trans people can be disproportionately affected by discrimination. In this essay, the concept of allyship and the example of pastoral care are used to relate the realities of trans* people‘s lived experiences to church practice.
