Resumo:The article presents information on the 2005 Institute of Cistercian Studies Conference which was held from May 5-8, 2005 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Attending the Cistercian Conference this year were five monks of the Order of Cistercians from various monasteries and four OCSO monks and nuns. Sung Vespers and Mass, a traditional part of the activities, were prayed each day. Some of the papers presented in the conference were "The Cistercians and the Desert Ideals," by F. Tyler Sergent, "The Influence of Smaragdus' Expositio in Regulam Sancti Benedicti on the Cistercian Reform," by Daniel M. La Corte, "Economic Principles or Spiritual Aspirations? Economic Behavior of the Early Cistercians," by Klaus Wollenberg, "Cistercian Nunneries and Non-Cistercian Nunneries in Medieval England: Similarities and Differences," by Elizabeth Freeman and so on.
