| Riepilogo: | The article presents a study of the Christological section of De fide et symbolo, namely from 3.3 to 4.10, explaining the way in which Saint Augustine had received the doctrine of Nicaea, highlighting the consubstantiality of Christ with the Father, as well as the errors of Arius along with those of Apollinaris, and also of the Manichaeans. It emphasizes how in this work Saint Augustine explains the incarnation using the metaphor of the homo indutus and, although he provides a thorough response to the erroneous ideas of the heretics, he does not yet use the concept of person, to which he would arrive at about fifteen years later. |
