Σύνοψη: | This study takes in cue from an earlier contribution by Spangenberg (1999a) that was set in a South African context. In his study issues related to exegetical methods and the doctrine of Scripture were discussed. This discussion was set against the background of the history of interpretation of the book of Daniel by South African scholars. Spangenberg argued that a change in the view of Scripture would lead the way to utilising modern methods of interpretation. The present study suggests that a different epistemological point of departure would yield the same result. |
