Описание

The claims on both sides inter alia found expression in the expectation of messianic figures. Traditions about Joseph played a major role in the legitimation of northern claims. In the process he became a messianic figure. The 'Son of Joseph' was expected as one of the most important eschatological figures. This sheds new light on the expression 'Son of Joseph' in Luke 4:22.
