Description
Summary:Special Edition: Understanding the Old Testament in South Africa. A research team at the University of Pretoria is convinced that exegesis of the psalms has stagnated owing to the historical-critical method, and that the extratextual relations of the psalms have been absolutised while the study of the text itself has been marginalised. Consequently a semiostructural model is proposed that affords the exegete the opportunity of paying the closest attention to all levels of the text.
