Description
Summary:Imagination is such a constitutive part of human thought that it may be regarded as much more than creative or artistic innovation, or 'building differently'. Imagination is also instrumental in creating different 'stories' at the root of biblical interpretations. In an attempt to investigate this statement, I explore the concept 'imagination', and look at the interplay between biblical interpretation, social crisis, and the work of imagination. In conclusion some implications for the use of the Old Testament are drawn.
