| Summary: | A key figure in the modernist crisis, Alfred Loisy had a major influence on the debates on revelation, miracle and apologetics. However, his texts also include another theme that is much less discussed, namely that of the proof from prophecy. The paper introduces the context of this theological discussion and examines the evolution of Loisy’s thinking on messianic prophecy, from his defence of Catholic positions against rationalism, through his polemics on the proper form of apologetics, to skeptical positions. This will lead to ask whether the issues raised by Loisy remain relevant to contemporary theology. Alfred Loisy, una figura clave en la crisis modernista, ha tenido una gran influencia en las discusiones sobre la revelación, el milagro y la apologética. No obstante, en sus textos puede encontrarse también un tema menos comentado que es el argumento profético. El artículo introduce al contexto de esta discusión teológica y comenta los cambios en el pensamiento de Loisy sobre las profecías mesiánicas; desde su defensa de las posturas católicas contra el racionalismo, pasando por las polémicas respecto a la forma adecuada de la apologética, hasta las posiciones escépticas. Esto permitirá concluir preguntando si los problemas que Loisy abordó siguen siendo relevantes para la teología contemporánea. |
