However, like many young disciplines, it faces certain challenges, chief among them being the difficulty of arriving at a clear and shared definition. This study aims to revisit the foundational insight of Martin Marty, credited with coining the term "public theology", and to provide an analysis that elucidates its nature and purpose. La teologia pubblica sta diventando oggi una delle discipline teologiche di maggiore interesse. Tuttavia, come accade spesso per le discipline emergenti, essa affronta alcune dif- ficoltà, tra cui quella di giungere a una definizione chiara e condivisa. Questo studio si propone di recuperare l'intuizione fondante di Martin Marty, a cui si attribuisce il merito di aver introdotto per primo l'espressione "teologia pubblica", e di offrire un'analisi che ne chiarisca natura e finalità. |
