Description
Summary:Social justice: A perspective from the book of Jeremiah The whole concern for a just society, is a major issue in the book of Jeremiah. This is especially true as far as the kingship is concerned. Jeremiah 22:13-17 serves as an excellent example to explain the prophet's view on the current leader’s role in creating and maintaining a just society. In the eyes of the prophet, king Jehoiakim has failed in this respect, whereas his father Josiah is regarded as one who has knowledge of Yahweh, reflected in his just conduct.
