| Summary: | In addition to teaching about the Kingdom of God, the parables told by Jesus in the Gospels introduce an entirely new method of teaching in biblical literature. The parables are, too, teachings that proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God and are based on everyday events, leading the listener to reflect on his or her daily attitudes. Jesus’ words deal with faith, trust, responsibility, love, and empathetic attitudes, which are fundamental topics for welcoming and relating to others. By combining Jesus’ teaching through parables with the writings of German philosopher Edith Stein (1891-1942) on the themes of education and empathy, this article aims to delve deeper into Jesus’ methodology by highlighting the power of symbolic language and the use of metaphor. In the course of our research, we revisited the theological-biblical literature and mapped Edith Stein’s contributions to the subject. In this way, we designed a bibliographical study with a qualitative approach. We found that Stein’s Christian philosophy, through an empathetic pedagogy, affirms the search for meaning and the infinite fullness of the divine truth of revelation. God communicates himself to the human mind in the way and to the extent that the mind opens itself to his knowledge. In this sense, we can understand the importance of the empathic act of "making" man participate in divine truth. Para além de ensinar sobre o Reino de Deus, as parábolas narradas por Jesus nos Evangelhos inauguram uma metodologia de ensino totalmente nova na literatura bíblica. As parábolas são, também, ensinamentos que pregam a Boa Nova do Reino e são baseadas nos acontecimentos do dia a dia, levando os ouvintes a refletirem sobre suas atitudes cotidianas. As palavras de Jesus tratam de fé, confiança, responsabilidade, amor e atitudes empáticas, tópicos fundamentais para o acolhimento e a relação com os outros. Ao combinar os ensinamentos de Jesus, por meio das parábolas, com os escritos da filósofa alemã Edith Stein (1891-1942) acerca dos temas da educação e da empatia, este artigo objetiva aprofundar a metodologia de Jesus, evidenciando o poder da linguagem simbólica e o uso das metáforas. No percurso investigativo, revisitamos a literatura teológico-bíblica, mapeando as contribuições de Edith Stein sobre o assunto. Por esse caminho, delineamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica de abordagem qualitativa. Constata-se que a filosofia cristã steiniana reafirma, através da pedagogia empática, a busca do sentido e a plenitude infinita da verdade divina da revelação. Deus se comunica ao espírito humano na medida e no modo como este se abre ao seu conhecimento. Nesse sentido, compreende-se a importância do ato empático para “fazer” com que o ser humano participe da verdade divina. Además de enseñar sobre el Reino de Dios, las parábolas narradas por Jesús en los Evangelios inauguran una metodología de enseñanza completamente nueva en la literatura bíblica. Las parábolas también son enseñanzas que predican las Buenas Nuevas del Reino y se basan en acontecimientos cotidianos, llevando a los oyentes a reflexionar sobre sus actitudes diarias. Las palabras de Jesús tratan de fe, confianza, responsabilidad, amor y actitudes empáticas, tópicos fundamentales para acoger y relacionarse con los demás. Al combinar las enseñanzas de Jesús a través de parábolas con los escritos de la filósofa alemana Edith Stein (1891-1942) sobre los temas de la educación y la empatía, este artículo pretende profundizar la metodología de Jesús destacando el poder del lenguaje simbólico y el uso de metáforas. A lo largo del camino de investigación, revisamos la literatura teológico-bíblica, mapeando las contribuciones de Edith Stein sobre el asunto. En este camino, trazamos una investigación bibliográfica con enfoque cualitativo. Parece que la filosofía cristiana steiniana reafirma, a través de una pedagogía empática, la búsqueda del significado y la plenitud infinita de la verdad divina de la revelación. Dios se comunica con el espíritu humano en la medida y en la forma en que éste se abre a su conocimiento. En este sentido, entendemos la importancia del acto empático para “hacer” al ser humano partícipe de la verdad divina. |
