L’étude constate que cette révision des canons correspond aux besoins des Églises orientales et est cohérente avec l’esprit du droit pénal de ces Églises tel qu’il a été envisagé par les codificateurs du CCEO. | ||

There are striking similarities between these revised penal laws due to their common sources, but there are also dissimilarities, mainly because the revision commission integrated the revised norms into the existing vision, framework, structure, terms, and canon numbers of the CCEO, leaving intact the internal harmony of the already existing code. The study finds that this revision of the canons corresponds to the needs of the Eastern Churches and is coherent with the spirit of the penal law of those Churches as envisaged by the codifiers of the CCEO. | ||
