Description
Summary:If interconfessionally used churches are understood as crossover phenomena in which basic experiences of human life find expression in a way, that can be interpreted in Christian terms, they unfold religious didactic potential that can be utilized in particular for denominationally cooperative settings. Of particular relevance is the fact that interconfessional church buildings utilize life-world examples to point to the shared Christianity that is identified in constantly new, sometimes tense, negotiation processes and is shaped in a denominationally diverse way. At the same time, challenges become apparent that need to be taken into account when teaching in a way that is sensitive to confessional differences, without homogenizing or exaggerating the diversity of confessional backgrounds.
