| Summary: | Each Christian is called to rediscover the fascinating personality of Jesus through the impact which he made. What captivated and shaped the lives of his disciples is what they expressed in words, in what we know as the Jesus tradition; the earliest tradition, both in form and style, bears witness to that impact, which is the mark of his identity. This is also the experience of St. Teresa, who in rediscovering the humanity of Jesus, discovered not only the meaning of the incarnation, but God himself, who God is. She drew close to the divinity of God in the most direct way. Todo cristiano está llamado a redescubrir la fascinante personalidad de Jesús a través del impacto causado por él. Lo que cautivó y modeló la vida de sus discípulos es lo que expresaron con palabras en lo que conocemos como la tradición de Jesús, y la más primitiva tradición, tanto en su forma como en su estilo, da testimonio de ese impacto, que viene a ser la huella de su identidad. Esa es también la experiencia de santa Teresa, quien al redescubrir la Humanidad de Jesús, no descubrió sólo el sentido de la encarnación, sino a Dios mismo, lo que Dios es. Se acercó de la forma más directa a la divinidad de Dios. |
