| Summary: | Since 1919 there has been a desire on the part of the Society of Jesus to strengthen collaboration between the Spanish Marian Congregations, whether Jesuits-led or not. Although this effort experienced an impasse in the 1930s, it was retaken after the war. One of the achievements of the Society was the creation of the National Secretariat of the Spanish Marian Congregations, whose aims were to help in the collaboration between congregations, to guide their directors in the functioning of those congregations and to motivate them to better accomplish their mission. The Secretariat, as a press organ, published a Bulletin, which was poorly analysed. Nowadays it has become essential for the study of Congregations. To facilitate such a study, an analysis of its content between 1940 and 1959 has been carried out, according to the importance given to the different topics dealt with, their frequency and chronological location. |
