Description
Summary:The parable of the minas (Lk 19:11-28), strategically placed at the end of the journey to Jerusalem, is a text considered difficult. On the one hand, it incorporates the parable of the pretender to the throne in the story of the minas/talents; on the other hand, it shows violence of the harsh words of the king. This article proposes a new approach from pragmalinguistics, analyzing the literary context, linguistic cohesion and communicative coherence. The Lucan communicative strategy proposes trust, responsibility and mission as the keys to reading.
