Several viewpoints are discussed in relation to this link, through the topic of music composed for religious ceremonies and prayers. These pieces, which are intended to bring listeners closer to their higher selves, may be beneficial for both individuals and groups in a range of favourable and unfavourable circumstances and serve as a suitable counterbalance to the solace that comes from religion.
