| Σύνοψη: | Imitations, transpositions: Cyprus and the Northern Levant in the Middle and Late Bronze AgesSummary - Located at the crossroads of major sea routes, the island of Cyprus was at the centre of a vast trading network during the Middle and Late Bronze Ages. Sought-after for their durability and aesthetic qualities, Cypriot ceramics were broadly imported all along the Levantine coast. These vessels inspired Levantine potters and craftsmen, leading to the creation of imitations as well as brand new productions combining Cypriot and Levantine features. In addition, during the Late Bronze Age, stone transpositions of Cypriot shapes were circulating alongside clay imitations. While the presence of imports provides an insight into trading connections, the development of imitations and transpositions offers a much more complex and multifaceted picture of cultural interactions in the Eastern Mediterranean during the second millennium BCE. Résumé - Située au carrefour de voies maritimes majeures, l’île de Chypre joue un rôle central dans les échanges aux âges du Bronze moyen et du Bronze récent. Les céramiques qui y sont produites, appréciées aussi bien pour leur résistance que pour leurs qualités esthétiques, sont alors largement diffusées en Méditerranée orientale. Ces vases n’ont pas manqué d’inspirer les potiers levantins, menant à la création d’imitations et de nouvelles productions mêlant traits chypriotes et traits locaux. Outre ces créations en céramique, pendant l’âge du Bronze récent, circulent des vases en pierre dont les formes reproduisent elles aussi des modèles chypriotes. Si la présence d’importations nous apporte des enseignements sur les échanges commerciaux, l’élaboration d’imitations et de transpositions en pierre esquisse une image plus complexe et variée des interactions culturelles en Méditerranée orientale pendant le IIe millénaire av. n. è. التقليد والتعديلات: قبرص وشمال بلاد الشام في العصر البرونزي الأوسط والعصور البرونزية المتأخرة تقع جزيرة قبرص على تقاطع الطرق البحرية الرئيسية، وقد لعبت دورًا مركزيًا في التجارة خلال العصر البرونزي الأوسط والعصر البرونزي المتأخر. إن السيراميك الذي انتجه هذا البلد والذي حظي بتقدير كبير لمقاومته وخصائصه الجمالية قد انتشر على نطاق واسع في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط. لفد ساهمت هذه المزهريات في إلهام الخزّافين المشرقيين مما أدى إلى تصنيع منتجات مقلّدة ومنتجات جديدة تمزج بين السمات القبرصية والمحلية. بالإضافة إلى هذه المنتجات الخزفية فلقد انتشرت خلال العصر البرونزي المتأخر مزهريات حجرية تحاكي أشكالها أيضًا النماذج القبرصية. لئن كانت المنتجات المستوردة توقر لنا معلومات حول التبادلات التجارية، فإن القيام بالتقليد والتعديل في الأعمال الحجرية يقدم صورة أكثر تعقيدًا وتنوعًا للتفاعلات الثقافية في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط خلال الألفية الثانية قبل الميلاد. |
