| Summary: | La spiritualité protestante est au pluriel : elle comprend des traditions diverses et des dimensions diverses (« la tête, le cœur et la main »). Des motifs spirituels pervertis peuvent résulter de tensions entre l’ecclésial et le civilisationnel : l’affinité élective entre le calvinisme et le capitalisme sur fond d’assurance du salut ; la dictature de l’horloge sur fond de gratitude pour le don divin du temps. Parmi les apports constructifs et spécifiques du protestantisme à la spiritualité chrétienne de l’écologie, on mentionnera la matérialité de la Parole jusque dans la géographie poétique contemporaine, la formation de la personne dans une perspective christomorphe et phytomorphe ainsi que la double exigence de protestation et de conciliation. Protestant spirituality is multi-faceted, encompassing a variety of traditions and dimensions ("head, heart and hand"). Distorted spiritual themes can result from tensions between the ecclesial and the civilisational dimensions: the elective affinity between Calvinism and capitalism against a backdrop of the assurance of salvation; the dictatorship of the clock against a backdrop of gratitude for the divine gift of time. Among the constructive and specific contributions of Protestantism to the Christian spirituality of ecology are the materiality of the Word in contemporary poetic geography, the formation of the person from a Christomorphic and phytomorphic perspective, and the dual demands of protest and conciliation. |
