| Summary: | Wenngleich die wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit dem Zusammenhang von Musik und Spiritualität noch in den Anfängen steckt, besteht ein sowohl historisch gut bezeugter als auch für die psychotherapeutische Praxis relevanter Zusammenhang beider Bereiche. Zu erwähnen sind hierbei übergeordnete Zusammenhänge im Bereich von Religion, Musik und Körperlichkeit, Resonanzphänomene in Musik, Spiritualität und Therapie sowie speziell der Bereich von Musiktherapie und Seelsorge. Drei Schnittstellenbereiche stehen beispielhaft für den Zusammenhangs von Musik und Spiritualität: die Kirchenmusik/sakrale Musik; die neue Fächerdisziplin Medical Humanities & Healing Arts im Kontext der Schulmedizin; sowie die Palliativmedizin. In diesen Formen einer musikalischen Praxis des Glaubens mit therapeutischer Intention wird die enge Bezogenheit von Musik und Spiritualität besonders deutlich erkennbar. Although the scientific study of the connection between music and spirituality is still in its early stages, there is a connection between the two areas that is both historically well-documented and relevant to psychotherapeutic practice. Mention should be made here of overarching connections in the areas of religion, music and physicality, resonance phenomena in music, spirituality and therapy, and especially the area of music therapy and pastoral care. Three interface areas exemplify the connection between music and spirituality: church music/sacred music, the new discipline of medical humanities & healing arts in the context of conventional medicine, as well as palliative medicine. In these forms of musical practice of faith with therapeutic intentions, the close relationship between music and spirituality becomes particularly clear. |
