| Summary: | O presente artigo apresenta o significado de vocação-trabalho em Martinho Lutero e em Dietrich Bonhoeffer. No primeiro capítulo, a temática é introduzida especialmente a partir do escrito "A história da palavra vocação (beruf)" publicado por Karl Holl, professor de teologia sistemática na Universidade de Berlin. Holl foi responsável pela retomada dos estudos sobre a teologia de Lutero na década de 1920 e foi professor de Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Seu intuito foi evidenciar a grande mudança trazida por Lutero quanto ao tema vocação-trabalho. A análise de Holl é acrescida de outros detalhes que considerei importantes ao aprofundarem e ampliarem a compreensão sobre o tema. No segundo capítulo, é apresentado o significado de vocação-trabalho para Martinho Lutero. É evidenciado com alguns detalhes a reorganização da compreensão de vocação-trabalho feitas pelo reformador destacando seus desdobramentos teológicos e sociológicos. Por fim, no terceiro capítulo, é apresentado o contexto teológico de sobre o qual Bonhoeffer desdobra a sua compreensão de vocação-trabalho, a partir da responsabilidade da humanidade redimida em Cristo. A intenção é demonstrar a influência de Lutero na compreensão de Bonhoeffer do tema, mas também apresentar sua ampliação e as discussões de fundo relacionadas às ordens da preservação. Vocação-trabalho, para Bonhoeffer, é um dos meios pelos quais o ser humano redimido exerce a sua responsabilidade para com a outra pessoa, percebendo sua atividade como aquela que deve ser exercida na perspectiva da preservação e promoção de vida da alteridade. This article presents the meaning of vocation-work in Martin Luther and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In the first chapter, the theme is introduced especially from the writing "The history of the word vocation (beruf)" published by Karl Holl, professor of systematic theology at the University of Berlin. Holl was responsible for resuming studies on Luther's theology in the 1920s and was Dietrich Bonhoeffer's professor. His aim was to highlight the great change that Luther brought about with regard to the theme of vocation-work. Holl's analysis is supplemented by other details that I considered important in deepening and broadening our understanding of the subject. The second chapter presents the meaning of vocation-work for Martin Luther. The reformer's reorganization of the understanding of vocation-work is shown in some detail, highlighting its theological and sociological developments. Finally, the third chapter presents the theological context in which Bonhoeffer unfolds his understanding of vocation-work, based on the responsibility of humanity redeemed in Christ. The intention is to demonstrate Luther's influence on Bonhoeffer's understanding of the theme, but also to present its expansion and the background discussions related to the orders of preservation. Vocation-work, for Bonhoeffer, is one of the means by which the redeemed human being exercises his responsibility towards the other person, perceiving his activity as one that should be exercised from the perspective of preserving and promoting the life of otherness. |
