| Summary: | O presente artigo reflete acerca da teoria e da prática missionárias em perspectiva luterana. Em um primeiro momento, faz um breve apanhado histórico, que indica que a temática da missão teve, ao longo do tempo, uma trajetória continuamente ameaçada de marginalidade ou até de exclusão, na tradição associada a Martim Lutero. Num segundo momento, o artigo constata o consenso atual em torno da relevância da missão na Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil (IECLB), consenso esse que se concretiza no chamado "Plano de Ação Missionária da IECLB" (PAMI). São apresentadas, a seguir, duas sugestões para a reflexão missiológica e a prática missionária, na perspectiva da tradição luterana: uma, a partir da teologia da cruz; outra, com enfoque na liberdade cristã. O texto encerra com reflexões sobre desafios e perspectivas futuras para a IECLB. This article discusses missionary theory and practice from a Lutheran perspective. Initially, it briefly describes their history, indicating that the topic of mission was, in the tradition associated with Martin Luther, constantly threatened by the secondary position assigned to it and sometimes was even banned altogether. Then the article presents the current consensus on the relevance of Mission in the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB), a consensus materialized in the so-called "IECLB’s Plan of Missionary Action" (PAMI). After that, two suggestions for the missiological reflection and the missionary practice are presented from the point of view of Lutheran tradition: the first one is based on the theology of the cross and the second emphasizes Christian liberty. The text ends with reflections about challenges and future perspectives for the IECLB. |
