Description
Summary:The quadriform Eucharistic prayer, originally composed in the 70’s by the Swiss Church in occasion of their Synod, published in editio typica latina in 1991 with significant changes of content, has been included in the latest edition of the Missale Romanum and, consequently, presented in a new Italian version also included in the Ambrosian rite. This contribution aims to highlight the development of the text from its first edition to its present form, giving attention to the debate which arose around the more controversial points and to the contribution offered by the re-elaboration worked at that time by the competent Roman Decastery. From a methodological point of view, the synopsis of the original Italian text with the Latin text of 1991 and the Italian text of 2020 intends to facilitate the steps made for every section of the Anaphora.
