Description
Résumé:Journeys and travel to Italy have developed in the Slovak environment since the 19th century. The paper focuses on the research of the journey, which is given in his magazine-published travelogues by the priest and Catholic writer Štefan Nemecskay, a representative of the second generation of scholars around Anton Bernolák. Although the starting point for the analysis was the categorisation of aspects of the literary representation of Italy established by M. Beller (it not only helps to summarize the previous knowledge about the country or the form of the travelogue, for example the degree of predominance of factual facts over the subjective representation of individual experiences), but the ambition of the paper is primarily to reflect a unique author's strategy based on emphasizing the spiritual dimensions of life and reviving man’s relationship with God.
