Summary: | The construction and provision of niches in columbaria for the deposit of arid or cremated human remains has spread in the Catholic Church, even in areas that previously did not customarily incinerate the mortal remains of human beings and were It has become an alternative to "burial" in large cities because it is more economical than burial and in a certain sense more practical when remembering the deceased. As a pastoral answer to this practice, the Church has established canonical and liturgical norms that, added to the civil norms, allow these uses and the subsequent treatment of the ashes. In the civil sphere, this matter has remained in a legal "limbo" and that is the origin of the concern to determine the most appropriate contract for this contractual relationship between the faithful and the administrators of ecclesiastical real estate that offer a solution to an increasingly need. |
