Description
Summary:This contribution discusses an edited volume emerging from a German-speaking conference on the relation between theology and philosophy. First, it critically appraises selected chapters that are concerned with non-analytic approaches in philosophy. It then attends to analytic philosophy and its possible relevance for theology. With reference to pertinent chapters, it argues that the high standards of discursive transparency and intersubjective comprehensibility manifested in analytic philosophy ought to be an integral part of theological reflection, especially in view of the universal aspirations of the latter.
