| Summary: | El artículo intenta mostrar la compatibilidad de la afirmación cristiana de la existencia del alma con los desarrollos científicos actuales; ello conlleva, en la perspectiva del autor, modificar nuestra concepción tradicional del alma. La exposición se realiza en cuatro apartados: la explicación de la vida y el pensamiento realizada en la antigüedad y en la actualidad, la interpretación cristiana del alma, la consistencia del modelo expuesto con las afirmaciones científicas y con el resto de las creencias cristianas, y finalmente, la comparación del modelo propuesto con otros alternativos. The article attempts to show the compatibility of the Christian affirmation of the existence of the soul with current scientific developments; this entails, in the author's view, modifying our traditional conception of the soul. The exposition is made in four sections: the explanation of life and thought made in antiquity and today, the Christian interpretation of the soul, the consistency of the exposed model with the scientific affirmations and with the rest of the Christian beliefs, and finally, the comparison of the proposed model with other alternatives. |
