| Summary: | This article is the third in a series about an ongoing research project that is examining Catholic education in regional and rural Australian contexts. The primary goal of this project is to contribute to a better understanding of an important, but somewhat neglected, field, namely, the experience of Catholic education away from the large coastal metropolises. This project also seeks, inter alia, to provide an opportunity for those involved in Catholic education in regional and rural areas to contribute to the broader discourse on contemporary Catholic education. And, perhaps more importantly, it poses the question: What can this lived experience contribute to the discussion on both the future of Australian Catholic education and the future of Catholicism more broadly? |
