Alice Butts Album, 1907-40 - "The Korean General Assembly's celebration of the fiftieth Anniversity of Presbyterian Mission work in Korea at Sept, 1934, Pyeng Yang, Korea. Thousands of Christians met on College athletic field for the Sunday afternoon mass meeting. Loud speakers were distributed over the field so even the farthest away would hear. After the meeting a parade 1 1/2 miles long marched through the main streets of the city.. Several bands were in the procession and Christian songs were sung as they went. Our mission homes are among the trees in the background."
