Description
Item Description:Upon entering the Chapel of Our Mother of Sorrows, one is immediately impressed by its beauty and simplicity. The life-sized sculpture of Morenon's Pieta under the majestically proportioned cross, the huge crown of thorns, and the bronze bas-reliefs on each side depicting the remaining six sorrows, all give the visitor a deep feeling of reverence. To the side of the Pieta may be seen an altar recessed in green marble walls and soft lighted, truly a "Place to Pause and Pray"..."Grant O Mother source of love that I may feel your depth of grief. Make me mourn with you."
