Item Description: | This church was built in 1818 by the vestry of Antrim Parish, being called St. Mark's Church. Here Rev. Chas. Dresser, who married Abraham Lincoln, preached for many years. The Presbyterians have worshiped here since 1840, since their denomination thrived while Samuel Davies had an Academy in Halifax village. The church is now owned by Methodists but used also by Presbyterians |
