Description
Item Description:The Assembly Hall is a semi-Gothic structure of gray granite, occupying the southwest corner of the Temple grounds. It was built during 1877 to 1882. - The Assembly Hall is typical of all the houses of worship among the Latter-day Saints. Services are open to the public and the buildings are used in a manner that is conducive to the social intellectual, and religious uplift of the people. Meeting houses are financed by the tithes of the people. The "Mormons" onserve the ancient law of tithing. Every member of the Church is expected to pay one-tenth of his income as a free-will offering for the support of the Church
