Item Description:One of the most interesting and picturesque church edifices in the city is Trinity Episcopal Church, facing on Sumter Street. The first church here was a little wooden structure whose corner stone was laid on March 7th, 1814, but the church in its present form was first occupied on June 14th, 1862. Since then additions and alterations have been made, and its seating capacity now is about 900
