Description
Item Description:The founders of this church were a colony of French Huguenots, sent to Carolina in 1680, by Charles II of England, to foster the culture of silk, olive and the vine. They were afterwards strengthened by Huguenots who fled from France at the time of the Edict of Nantes in 1685. This is probably the only church of its kind in America today
