Description
Item Description:Caroline Church of Brookhaven is one of the oldest Episcopal Churches in continuous service in the U.S., and was built in 1729 when Setauket was known as Brookhaven. The Silver Communion service was presented by Karoline, Queen of George II in 1730, and is still used on special occasions. The church still shows the bullet marks of the Battle of Setauket in 1776 during the Revolutionary War
