Description
Item Description:Protestant Episcopal, the second oldest and the richest in New York; organized in 1693, granted the Queen's Farm in 1705, from the Greenwich Village to Vesey Street along the North River, its rents and profits have enabled it to endow other churches liberally. Trinity is the mother of St. George's, St. Paul's, St. Johns, Trinity Chapel, St. Chrysostom's, St. Agnes's, St. Luke's and St. Augustine's, and it's benefactions exhaust its princely income year by year. It is a stately Gothic edifice with an ornate spire rising 284 feet, carrying a melodious chime of bells
