Description
Item Description:Riverside Church at 122nd St. and Riverside Drive. The Towering New Skyscraper summit is visible far away in Jersey. It occupies a commanding site almost opposite Grant's Tomb. The main body is of a traditional medieval type with nave chance, side aisles and two galleries with 13th Century French Gothic. It has much of the same decorative effect as the cathedrals of France. Grant's Tomb erected in memory of the famous General in recognition of his services during the Civil War
