Item Description:Eastchester, Mt. Vernon. One of America's oldest Episcopal parishes. Founded in 1665. The present church building was erected in 1765. It was designated as the National Shrine of the Bill of Rights in July 1943. On the historic Village Green was held the great election of 1773 which led to the trial of John Peter Zenger in the establishment of a free press
