Item Description:In the midst of handsome shade trees, on a fine lot on West Genesee Street, stands the large, handsome St. Peter's Protestant Episcopal Church, surrounded by a graveyard. The first Episcopal Church was built in 1811; it was destroyed by fire in 1832, and rebuilt and dedicated in 1833; this second structure was torn down and the present one erected and first occupied in 1870
